Jimmy Cliff is the greatest reggae star ever; he is rather The King of Reggae, and not Bob Marley. This is critical assessment of the two. Jimmy Cliff deserves The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. God bless the spirit of Bob Marley, but Jimmy Cliff is the greatest of all.
If there is anyone to be praised for his beauty in style and versatility is the Great Jimmy Cliff. For decades this legend has been blessing us with litrate and uplifting songs.
It is indeed an anormaly that he is yet to be in the Hall, what, with songs like ‘Many Rivers To Cross'(described as the most beautiful ever recorded), ‘My people’, ‘Harder They Come’, ‘You can get it if you really want’, ‘majority rule’, ‘People’,’ Rebel’ in me to name but a few he definitely deserve to be in the Hall if merit is the rule.
Roll on Honourable Jimmy Cliff
Jimmy Cliff is undoubtedly one of the best talented musicians the World has seen. In terms of reggea music, he is the greatest, much better than Bob Marley in every facet of this brand of music.
At last, justice has been done to him by inducting him in the acclaimed “Music Hall Of Fame.” Jimmy you deserve this long over due induction. Your music continues to uplift the human race from all parts of the World. Songs like :suffering in the land, going back west, sitting in limbo, brave warrior, time will tell, to mention but a few, are songs that have inspired many to overcome many of life’s obstacles, of which I was one of them.
Keep on singing Cliff. You are the best.

Jimmy cliff is the greatest of them all. He is a true living legend. Songs like “shout for freedom”and “jimmy jimmy” are international hits and everyone across the world can relate him/herself to his music.
He is an inspiration to many people. Being an African, his induction means alot to me.
