UK Afrobeat Artist On A Mission To Make Worldwide Music
Ghanian-born and South-London based, Fuse ODG is a pioneer of UK Afrobeat who’s now signed to 3Beat Records and his song “Antenna” is up for MTV Iggy’s “Song of the Year.” A few weeks after winning his first MOBO Award, Fuse spoke with Reshma B about his mission to instill African pride in his people and why he says he was ready to die for Africa. “Every time I step on that soil I’m happy… The message is my album is gonna be life-changing.” Fuse proudly proclaims his love for his mom—and by extension, all women. “Every woman is a potential mother,” he says, “and just in that respect women are more powerful than men.” He even blessed the Boomshots massive with an exclusive acappela preview of one of his new tunes.
