    Right in time for the release of his newest single, I-Octane has made his way to the number 1 spot of the countdown. 16 weeks on the chart and he has swiftly bypassed the competition on his way up. Though Popcaan and Tommy Lee have held on to tight to their spots, Mavado has moved down from number 1 to number 5! But as quickly as someone moves up the list, they can move down so let’s see how long I-Octane’s fans keep him at number one!

  • WATCH THIS: Rihanna, Bruno Mars and Sting Join Ziggy & Damian Marley To Big Up Bob At The Grammys

    Just last week reggae lovers celebrated what would have been Bob Marley’s 68th Earthstrong. Rihanna and the Marleys felt it was only right to do sup’m at tonight’s Grammy Awards in tribute to the Tuff Gong. They will be joined by Bruno Mars, who has called Marley “one of the greatest songwriters ever,”  and Sting, whose work with The Police helped to bring reggae music to the rock and pop radio. Rihanna has often expressed her admiration for Marley and the Tuff Gong’s impact on her music and her life. She performed his classic “Redemption Song,” to help raise money for Haitian earthquake survivors and even showed her love by wearing a custom-made Bob Marley dress during her SNL performance.     The Artist Maintains His Innocence And Plans to “Vigorously Fight”
    Anthony B-BOOMOn January 27th, the Dancehall artist, Anthony B, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. The artist was on a tour and while traveling through Georgia, the artist’s tour bus was stopped and searched by police who found marijuana, leading to the arrest of Anthony B and others on the bus. Since then, many have been questioning what will happen with Anthony B since Georgia has extremely strict laws when it comes to drug possession. Anthony B’s attorney Mark Douglas Esq. has released a statement yesterday responding to the arrest and how his client plans to fight the charges against him. Read The Full Statement After The Jump…

With the release of his new single, new video with Snoop Dogg & Popcaan and his first performance on BET’s 106&Park last week, it’s no wonder he is still number one on the HYPE chart. His obvious dedication to his music has given fans a new reason to love him and enjoy his songs that much more. While there he premiered the new video for Papoose’s single, “Top of My Game,” featuring the Gully Gad himself.
