And he’s pulled out all the stops to get his music heard—from passing out CDs in the streets of Kingston and ripping stages around the world. The Warlord Blazes Lyrical Fire On The Gaza Spartan
Bounty Killer has done all sorts of songs throughout his storied career—touching on ghetto life, God, girls, ganja—but he’s always at his best when he’s in war mode. They don’t call him the Warlord for nothing. You know, Peeeeeeeeeeeople dead and all that. Think of all the great songs that came from his rivalry with Beenie Man alone. His new Jazzwad-produced single “Nyammy Lee” spits hot fire at his newest nemesis, Tommy Lee the Gaza Spartan. In other words, it’s classic Bounty Killer. Looks like Sting is gonna be real interesting this year. Let’s just hope they keep the battle lyricalAudio After The Jump…

  • Gunmen Rob Khago; Did Friends Sell Him Out?

Khago Strives To Remain Positive, But Questions Linger

You would think that being robbed at gunpoint would scare someone into hiding but for Reggae/Dancehall star Khago, it has had the exact opposite effect on him. He and members of his team were recently held up while working at Khago’s unfinished home in Mandeville, Jamaica. Though the gunmen didn’t get anything major but cellphones and a bicycle, the incident in itself was disturbing. Ironically the singer who shot to fame by singing “Nah Sell Out Me Friend Dem” suspects that the robbery may have been set up by some associates of his. Although he feels violated, he is trying to stay focused on his plans to finish his house and keep creating more music.  Check out Khago’s thoughts on the robbery below.

  • Bounty Killer Hearing Whispers About Tommy Lee

The Warlord Does Not Like What He’s Hearing—Sting Promoters Respond On Twitter

With the diss records flying back and forth and anticipation building about the big clash at this year’s Sting, it seems like fans of Tommy Lee and Bounty Killer are getting overexcited. Earlier today Bounty Killer took to Twitter to speak on whispers he’s hearing from Tommy Lee’s hometown of Montego Bay. It seems that Sparta loyalists are talking reckless about what will happen to the Warlord when he comes to MoBay. It doesn’t help matters that Tommy Lee went on Hype TV and talked about physically attacking Killer on the stage at Sting, just like his mentor Vybz Kartel (and his entourage) did to Ninja Man in 2003. That was an infamous moment in dancehall history that nobody wants to see happen again—least of all the promoters of Sting, who have been struggling to confirm the main attractions for this year’s show. Needless to say they are doing their best to tamp down the hostilities, while still promoting a show that’s known for epic clashes. It’s a fine line to walk. • WATCH THIS: RDX “Broad Out” Video

Did The Daggering Duo Really Shoot A Music Video With An iPhone?

The dancehall duo who brought you daggering anthems like “Bend Over” and “Daggering” are breaking new ground with their latest video. But don’t worry, they haven’t abandoned the winning formula of high-energy riddims, simple melodic hooks, and  hot girls skinning out in outrageous poses. If fact the “broads” in this video are busting crazier moves than ever. But what’s really different about the “Broad Out” video is that they shot the whole thing on an iPhone. Or at least that’s what they claim in the intro to the video. But they still need to explain who shot the shots of them shooting with the blasted iPhone. Oh well, the video still ah shot. (And make sure to watch for the “Too Hot For TV” teaser at the end) Video After The Jump…

  • WATCH THIS: Reasoning With Mr. Williamz

Reshma B Interviews The UK DJ Who Says He Runs England

Ever since we heard Mr. Williamz shocking out on Green Lion’s “More Spiritual” riddim we were impressed with the way he brought the foundation dancehall style over up-to-date 2012 riddims. Furthermore, we were intrigued by some of the bold claims he made on the track “We Run England,” particularly his anecdote about the Queen giving him a foot massage. So we made a few inquiries and soon Boomshots UK Correspondent Reshma B had the chance to sit down with Mr. Williamz at West London hotspot Beach Blanket Babylon. He kicked an exclusive freestyle, and talked about which part of the world the girls know how to “sit down steady.” Video and Audio After The Jump…
