The Hot Ras Makes It Rain In These Brand New Visuals

How would you prefer your paper? When you hustle every day, you’re gettin money every which way. I-Octane shows a strong preference for “new money hot off the press.” No bogus bills round here, just crisp bricks of notes delivered fresh from the mint. This paper-chaser’s anthem is a hidden gem off Troyton’s “Dancehall Bully” Riddim, already notorious for ushering in the war between two dancehall titans. The juggling, distributed by the mighty 21st Hapilos, has much more to offer than Mavado’s “Dem Run Een.” Aidonia, Demarco, and Charly Blacks, are among the other artists with a piece of the action, but I-Octane’s “Hot of The Press” has proven to be a standout cut. Today Boomshots proudly premieres the flosstastic visuals, directed by Jay Papworth, as I-Octane & his empress make it rain at their oceanside estate. Everything correck. The Kid Is Back. Deal With It.

Cham has never been lacking in the confidence department. But in his new video the swag is just disgusting. Pushing a Rolls-Royce through South Beach? Stop it! But don’t get it twisted: “Even though me have the Ghost and the Phantom,” the DJ chats. “Still haffi keep me likkle crib pon the Waltham.” The boasy new visuals pave the way for the release of Cham’s third studio album Lawless, which will be produced by dancehall mastermind Dave Kelly and features appearances from Mykal Rose, Bounty Killer, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley and Miss O. All eyes on this. Video After The Jump… (more…)

“Cars A My Own, House A My Own”

The visuals for the Gully Gad’s tune “My Own”—off ZJ Liquid’s big bad Good Book riddim—dropped this weekend. The latest video from We The Best Films features Mavado and Dj Khaled poppin’ bottles of Ricky Rozay’s Belaire bubbly, while flossing beside what might just be Mavado’s own Lamborghini. There’s also a brief clip showing Mavado and Vybz Kartel sharing a laugh together during their famous meeting with the Prime Minister of Jamaica to call a truce in the Gully vs. Gaza feud. The use of this clip is particularly intriguing since it was recently reported that Mavado visited his one-time friend turned musical rival in prison. Even before the verdict in Kartel’s trial was handed down, Mavado told Boomshots his fans should “Pray for Addi.” Since then there’s even been rumors that the two might release a collaboration—but that’s another story for another day. Right now just check the visuals and reflect on how far a youth from Cassava Piece has elevated himself. Video After The Jump…

Frassman Brilliant is that real badman who makes the girls galang bad

If this world were mine, they’d play daggering tunes all the time. Frassman Brilliant shines with lovely ladies by his side for a girls night out event. Dancehall makes the best dancers step forward and whine, and The “Frostman” B is there to relish every moment of it.  The single “Go Down and Whine” puts you in the feel of the heart-racing Major Lazer x RDM dance track “Lose Yourself”, and as the beat drops the females are ready to shake a tailfeather. There’s nothing like free admission into the hottest club and popping bottles of Moet awaiting you in the VIP. Frassman Brillant takes care of the ladies, like a true gallis would. Just ask the original Gallis singer Mr.Vegas, who doesn’t love to see the girls dem whine and bruk it down? Peep the new visuals and see how you feel. Video After The Jump…

    Who Run Di Dance?

It’s no accident that Chedda possess a special gift for dancehall domination. The youth born Tyrello Johnson is the son of dancehall artist Daddy Screw (the man who gave us big tunes like this), but rather than riding on his father’s name he’s been building his own reputation one blazing track at a time. His latest effort is a futuristic-sounding cut produced by The Wizard—a cutting-edge dancehall producer who has a famous father herself. It’s a lovingly crafted piece of audio art that should take its place among the artists’ and the producers’ best work to date. Audio After The Jump… (more…)

(Not Jamaican dollars, by the way.) “Crime is a sickness and me know say money ah de antidote,” Kartel observes. This brand new T.J. production is sure to have the paper chasers going wild.
