    Fresh Out Of Prison, Busy Gives Thanks To God As He Touches Back Down On Jamaican Turf

    Tweeting “Guess who’s back? God is GOOD!” Busy signal announced his return to Jamaica on Friday November 17, four days ahead of schedule but not a moment too soon. Incarcerated since May 21 for absconding from an old drug charge dating back to 2002, Busy was released from a federal prison in Minnesota after the judge determined that he had done so much good with his freedom over the past ten years that the artist had essentially rehabilitated himself. It looks like Busy lost a lot of weight during his six months behind bars, but some of that good old Jamaica cooking will surely do him good. Welcome back Busy!     This July when Berhane aka Snoop Lion (formerly known as Snoop Dogg) stopped by the Strictly Boomshots show, he had lots of big news to share. Not only was he transforming from a rapper to a reggae artist, and releasing a documentary film about how he was Reincarnated, he also said he was going to be giving back to the people of in Jamaica.   • Gunmen Rob Khago; Did Friends Sell Him Out?

    Khago Strives To Remain Positive, But Questions Linger

    You would think that being robbed at gunpoint would scare someone into hiding but for Reggae/Dancehall star Khago, it has had the exact opposite effect on him. He and members of his team were recently held up while working at Khago’s unfinished home in Mandeville, Jamaica. Though the gunmen didn’t get anything major but cellphones and a bicycle, the incident in itself was disturbing. Ironically the singer who shot to fame by singing “Nah Sell Out Me Friend Dem” suspects that the robbery may have been set up by some associates of his. Although he feels violated, he is trying to stay focused on his plans to finish his house and keep creating more music.  Check out Khago’s thoughts on the robbery below.

    Yesterday, Snoop Lion released the official music video for “La La La,” the first single from his forthcoming album Reincarnated—which of course Snoop first discussed on the Strictly Boomshots show. Snoop teamed up with acclaimed horror film director Eli Roth to create a fun, Halloween-inspired music video filled with kids in Halloween costumes and imaginative scenery. But the trials and tribulations of his failed marriage has not held him back from speaking out in a positive manner and continuing the promotion of his album that was released in honor of the 50th Anniversary of Reggae and the Jamaican independence. Winford Williams invited Mr. Vegas to sit down “OnStage”  and discuss the situation with his wife, his daughter and the new album.
