Mr. Vegas was in NYC this past week to shoot the video of his remix to mega hit “Party Tun Up” featuring Sean Paul and energy DJ Fat Man Scoop. The location of the video was none other than NYC infamous clubs, WIP and Greenhouse, known for their exclusive, celebrity filled, shut the city down type of parties. They call DJ Sliink “The Jersey Club King” but don’t hold it against him. Sliink and NYC’s DJ Fresh Direct joined forces on a hard-hitting refix that’s aptly titled “Murder.” According to his Soundcloud Sliink chopped up the vocals on the Ini Kamoze sample from Damian Marley’s dancehall classic “Welcome To Jamrock,” while DJ Fresh Direct threw the 808s underneath. Muma Saw wasted no time before dispelling the recent rumors about her leaving the dancehall industry. “I said I would retire on the 31st,” she said as she took the stage at Barclays. “But I didn’t say what month! I’ll be retiring on the 31st of the 31st month of 2031!” To celebrate the occasion Saw’s teamed up with Flo-Rida to drop a remix of her latest chart-topper “Heels On.” Both artists performed at Reggae Sumfest in July so maybe the inspiration for this collab happened around that time. “Last year we sick but this year we iller.” Ohhh YES! What better way to describe the Machinedrum Remix of Congo Natty’s “UK Allstars”? This single off the forthcoming Jungle Revolution LP (Big Dada) is an insane mash up of culture lyrics in a jungle stylee. Remixes can either be good or shit and this one blows the roof! As the lyrics state: “Go deh Congo Natty, yuh a big selector,” and really how else could he bring together this All Star line up of UK legends Tenor Fly, Top Cat, General Levy, Tippa Irie, Sweetie Irie and Daddy Freddy? Everyone on this production was in some next place. It’s a blast of the sound that comes come off the London streets and if you’re sleeping on jungle in 2013 this should wake you up to what the UK has goin’ on.
