The Rising Reggae Star Performed Some Tracks From His New Album Last Night
Romain Virgo stopped by SOB’s in lower Manhattan last night for the first monthly Tree of Life reggae Showcase—and boy did he ever nice up the place. After touching signature hits “Live Mi Life” and “Caan Sleep” Romain belted out the title track from his sophomore album The System and soon had the whole place singing along. Then he did an acapella version of “I Know Better” and just in case anybody in the building failed to acknowledge to miss his awesome vocal chops, he went on to sing a couple of Alton Ellis classics. Not only has the young singer’s voice matured, but his swag tun up too. This new album is gonna be a killer. Romain’s best move of the night was when he took time out to serenade Sirius/XM Producer Pat McKay. Nicely played my youth.
Run that…
