    “Don’t know where I’m going, but I’m going far…”

How time flies when you’re troddin’ along! Hard to believe it’s been five years since Jemere Morgan was a brand new voice on the scene, dropping his Jemere’s Jukebox project and letting his voice ring out on singles like “International Love.” Now here it is 2019, and Gramps Morgan’s son has grown a little taller, his dreadlocks are a little longer, and his sound has matured. Jemere describes his new single, “Troddin,” as “a journey through my developmental stages in music.” Produced by Matthieu Bost, who previously worked with Chronixx on “Skankin Sweet,” “Troddin” marks a continuation of a lifelong journey for the young singer. “I’ve toured around the world with my family Morgan Heritage and had the gift of learning,” he says. “From the business side of music and ultimately to what it takes to be a hard-working, inspiring artist. Most importantly as a young man, I’ve learned to carry the principles of manners, respect, and humility everywhere that I go. From a kid, I was always known for being a rebel soul—and to me, being a rebel soul A.K.A. ‘being a nomad’ gives you a sense of consciousness, freedom & understanding in Life.” Boomshots is proud to premiere the video today, a journey down a beautiful road. The Grammy Family Brings Laza Morgan & Jemere Morgan Along For Support

After twenty-plus years making real roots rock reggae music, Morgan Heritage took home a richly deserved Grammy Award this year. Their self-produced set Strictly Roots won the award for Best Reggae Album, outpacing strong competition from the likes of Jah Cure, Luciano, Barrington Levy, and Rocky Dawuni. To celebrate with their fans, the Grammy family has announced a U.S. tour. You can call it a victory lap if you like. They’re calling it “So Amazing,” so you get the idea. They’ll be supported by family members Laza Morgan (whose tune “One by One” is a certified Boomshot) and Jemere Morgan (Gramps’ big son who’s growing into a lover’s rock force in his own right.) Plus, on select dates, UK band The Skints and/or Orange County ukelele-strummers The Wheeland Brothers. Keep up with the band on their official website, or go ahead and download their app. (Ratid!) Dada’s Son Gives The Ladies Something Sweet Off His New Mixtape

Jemere Morgan is just like every teenage boy in that he loves to play basketball and Xbox, listens to music, go to the movies and hang out with his friends. However there is one aspect of his life that is not so typical and that is the fact that he was born into one of Reggae’s most influential musical family, Morgan Heritage, his Father, Gramps Morgan and Grandfather, Denroy Morgan. Proving to be a chip off the old block, Jemere’s love affair with music began when he went on the Vans Warped tour with his Father and his family in 2000 for 7 weeks. Seeing his Father and his band mates, Morgan Heritage, perform inspired Jemere so much that he knew that music was the only thing that he wanted to do with his life. In 2011 he got the opportunity of a lifetime when he opened for Morgan Heritage on their European Tour. The experience proved to be a very pivotal moment in his career as he was able to showcase his talents on an international stage.  As a result he’s seen a lot of lovely ladies around the world, and apparently they were the inspiration for this tune, set to the rhythm of Gregory Isaacs’ “Stranger In Town.” The track, produced by Rellee Hayden for A-Team Music, is taken from Jemere’s new mixtape, Jemere’s Jukebox, which you can enjoy in full, after the jump. Audio & Video After The Jump…
