    They call DJ Sliink “The Jersey Club King” but don’t hold it against him. Sliink and NYC’s DJ Fresh Direct joined forces on a hard-hitting refix that’s aptly titled “Murder.” According to his Soundcloud Sliink chopped up the vocals on the Ini Kamoze sample from Damian Marley’s dancehall classic “Welcome To Jamrock,” while DJ Fresh Direct threw the 808s underneath.     Vybz Kartel is one step closer to being set free on themurder charges. Days after deliberating in Jamaica’s Home Circuit Court, Judge Bryan Sykes has denied the motion to review statements from two witnesses. Since the trial began, reports have surfaced that the prosecution’s arguments have been weak and Judge Sykes has stated that not enough action was taken to locate other witnesses.   • No Bail For Kartel Today

    The Werlboss Must Wait At Least Two Weeks To Learn His Fate

    Yesterday Adidja Palmer, known to dancehall fans as Vybz Kartel, was offered $3 million Jamaican bail (U.S. $35,438) relating to the murder of Barrington “Bossie” Bryan. Today he and his legal team appeared in court again in relation to another murder case: that of Clive “Lizard” Williams, who was allegedly beaten to death on August 16. Kartel’s team had planned to seek bail in that case today, but according to the Jamaica Observer, no bail application was filed. Instead the court demanded that prosecutors present all their evidence first. In an exclusive interview with Boomshots, Kartel’s attorney dismissed reports of alleged video evidence of the killing as “a rumor.”  (more…)
