    Aidonia has been on the HYPE TV Top 20 countdown for 11 weeks now and he has finally taken the top spot! Aidonia knocks Tarrus Riley off the number one spot with his hit single, “Tip Pon Yuh Toe.”  The Dancehall single features some very, good looking women showing off their best dance moves on the beach. Now, these aren’t your regular two step dance moves so we advise not to watch this video at work!

    I-Octane has been at number one for the past four weeks but it seems as it has been longer. His hit single, “Gal A Gimmi Bun,” has been burning up the charts everywhere and fans just keep requesting it!

    The Reggae/Dancehall artist performed at SOB’s last Wednesday and had the crowd going wild when he performed, “Gal A Gimmi Bun.” It is quite obvious that he isn’t stepping down from number one anytime soon.

    Last Night Come In Like A Stage Show

    Last night Miss Lily’s Variety and Melvin’s Juice Box celebrated its first anniversary in fine style with an all-day party that was broadcast live on RadioLily.com. The place was packed with reggae royalty from early out. Dean Fraser and Tarrus Riley mingled with Clive Chin and Carol Dodd, who blessed the place with some amazing never-before-heard Studio One rarities (including “In My Fathers House” and “Ungodly King” by Dennis Brown, a new version of “Gorgon” by Cornell Campbell, “Mix It Up” by J.D. Smoothe, and the original “Shank-I-Sheck” instrumental by Roy Burroughs). Noel Alphonso, son of the late great Roland Alphonso (whose birthday was also last night) was in the place along with the whole Miss Lily’s family to enjoy one-of-a-kind live performances by the one and only Johnny Osbourne and Tarrus Riley—up close and personal with DJ Max Glazer at the controls. Video After The Jump… (more…)

The riddim is called SWA (Sleep With Angels) and it’s anchored by Spragga Benz, who once did a tune by the same name in honor of his dearly departed son Carlyle. Spragga’s come back with a brand new song for the SWA juggling, but the meds is just as deep. I-Octane also chips in with a conscious tune.     The UK’s gonna be ram-a-jam this summer. Not only will London be hosting the 2012 Olympics but it’s also the site of 12 consecutive nights of reggae shows at the Indig02 in celebration of Jamaica’s 50th anniversary of independence. Kicking off the string of concerts on Wednesday July 26th will be Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, who will be joined by his brothers Stephen and Julian as well as the Ghetto Youths crew—Wayne “Go Hard” Marshall, Christopher Ellis, Black Am I, and Joe Mersa. They recently added an extra show on Thursday the 27th due to popular demand. If you were at the Marley concert at the Best Buy Theatre in NYC this Spring, then you already know this show is going to be A-Mazing(more…)
