    Boomshots 420 Playlist (2018)

A Playlist with Smoking Hot Chalice Chunes

California was the first state to launch a program for the use of medical marijuana, with Proposition 215 in 1996. This was followed up with the groundbreaking Senate Bill 420 in 2003, to clarify the provisions for medical use and protect those with authorized medical prescriptions from criminalization. This gave way to the 420 movement that is celebrated on April 20 for cannabis culture. Now 29 states allow for the medical use of marijuana, while only 8 states (California, Nevada, Massachusetts, Maine, Florida, North Dakota, Arkansas and Montana) have legalized recreational use in the United States. On a Federal level, marijuana is illegal and viewed as a highly addictive Schedule I drug, with no therapeutic properties.

Reggae music, as a genre, has always produced music with a high level of consciousness and significant social commentary. Throughout the years, there have been many marijuana anthems promoting freedom of choice, which are highly revered by smokers and non-smokers of this plant. On this 420, also Earth Day we hope to take you on a natural musical and mystic high with the Boomshots 420 Playlist.  Boomshots 420 Playlist After The Jump…

SABBATH MEDITATION: Tony Curtis “My God Is Real”

Music You Can Listen To On The Sabbath: Word Sound & Power

There is something so great about being spiritually in tune. When we seek God first this happens. God becomes your eyes and ears in life (Mathew 6:33). God sees the heart of men (1 Samuel 16:7) and God says “My sheep hear my voice” (John 10:27).  Spoken words hold a lot of power. Sometimes you hear someone say something to you, that sounds as pleasant as  honey or agave to your soul. Other times you can just feel disturbed immediately upon hearing something because it upsets the spirit. Listening with the depth of one’s soul,  may act as a guide on life’s journey.  This convinces me that God is real and that the steps of the righteous are ordered (Psalm 37:23).  Audio After The Jump (more…)

  • WATCH THIS: Mr. Vegas & Friends “Sweet Jamaica” All-Star Remix Video

Who Say Jamaica Sweet? Mr. Vegas, Shaggy, Josey Wales, U Roy, Barrington Levy, Cocoa Tea, Christopher Martin, Freddie McGregor, Leroy Sibbles, Marcia Griffiths, Ce’Cecile, Singing Melody, Tony Curtis, Beenie Man, and T.O.K. That’s Who.

Of all the tunes released in honor of Jamaica’s Golden Anniversary, the people’s choice appears to be “Sweet Jamaica” by Mr. Vegas featuring Shaggy and Josey Wales. Never one to bite his tongue, Mr. Vegas vigorously defended his own tune when another song—”On A Mission,” produced by Shaggy no less—was designated the official theme of Jamaica’s independence celebration. As if the original version wasn’t sweet enough, Vegas just dropped the maddest remix of “Sweet Jamaica” with another Jay Will video to match. When Vegas calls this an “All-Star” remix he isn’t kidding—we’re talking DJs from Daddy U-Roy to Beenie Man, singers from Leroy Sibbles to Cocoa Tea to Marcia Griffiths to Barrington Levy—and many many more. With all this talent on one track, this selection simply cannot be denied. #CertifiedBoomshot. Memo to the tourist board—maybe it’s time for a new theme song.
