The Werlboss Must Wait At Least Two Weeks To Learn His Fate
Yesterday Adidja Palmer, known to dancehall fans as Vybz Kartel, was offered $3 million Jamaican bail (U.S. $35,438) relating to the murder of Barrington “Bossie” Bryan. Today he and his legal team appeared in court again in relation to another murder case: that of Clive “Lizard” Williams, who was allegedly beaten to death on August 16. Kartel’s team had planned to seek bail in that case today, but according to the Jamaica Observer, no bail application was filed. Instead the court demanded that prosecutors present all their evidence first. In an exclusive interview with Boomshots, Kartel’s attorney dismissed reports of alleged video evidence of the killing as “a rumor.” (more…)

The man who brought you “Rampin Shop,” Adidja ‘Vybz Kartel’ Palmer, will star in a brand new reality series dubbed Teacha’s Pet, premiering on Jamaica’s CVM TV at 10pm, Pay Per View at 10:30pm and on LIME TV at 11pm this Friday, September 23rd. Teacha’s Pet is a reality TV dating show surrounding the love life and career of Vybz Kartel, shot at a palatial residence in upper St. Andrew. Produced by Carleene Samuels and directed by Jason ‘Jay Will’ Williams of Creative Source Productions, the programme features a cast of 20 female contestants who live together and complete daily challenges as they try to win the love of Vybz Kartel. According to Samuels, Teacha’s Pet is unlike any other programme produced locally. “We are positive that this top quality production will attract high viewership particularly among the artistes’ huge fan base across the globe”, she says. I’m not usually a fan of these cut and paste jobs, but Supa Dups and Kartel went above and beyond on this Refix. Oddly enough the tune landed in my inbox around the same time Necole Bitchie caught wind of Kartel’s “Cake Soap” and the whole skin-bleaching brouhaha went viral. Coincidence?
